All Your Thoughts on Pod: 9/24/94

Posted on May 22, 2020May 29, 2020

Hosted by Al, Trav, and Quillen

This Week: September 24, 1994

The boys discuss the best rock song since “Do Not Stop” by Fleetwood Mac or “You Are My Best Friend” by Queen – “What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” by R.E.M.

Tell Me All Your Thoughts on Pod is hosted by three close friends and musical collaborators spread out between southeast Michigan and Chicago. Al, Trav, and Quillen talk about every song that reached #1 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart in the 90s, beginning with Kurt Cobain’s death in April 1994.

“Vaseline” was “Airbag” before “Airbag” was “Airbag”. That made me think. I don’t agree with all of your analysis (and as someone who started discovering music on their own in exactly this time period, most of the songs you talk about mean something to me), but I like that thought.
